Ruggero’s Garden has been entirely renewed preserving its traditional architecture, its rooms with en suite bathroom and a shared kitchen, are located in a villa on the ground floor. Breakfast is self-service, and includes continental food (coffee, milk, bread, croissants, jams, corn-flakes, yoghurt and home made cakes).

The choice of Mondello is the right balance between the attractive historical monuments in Palermo and the pleasure to enjoy the Sicilian sunshine time (300 sunny day per year) walking and relaxing in one of the most appreciated Italian holiday villages.

Mondello was built during the Florio’s period (1850-1920) in the middle of European “art decò” – liberty style period. In that period Palermo was an obligatory route/destination for aristocracy and for emerging industrial and commercial middle classes. New elegant and fine hotels grew around the reputation of such as beautiful town. Palermo flourished during the Arabic times which was one of its most successful periods in term of culture art and social life. In that period families used to go to the beach and enjoy refreshment in the calm, clear water of the bay and the first villas overlooking the horizon were built by famous architects coming from all Italy and Europe (Basile, Alagna, De Giovanni, Rivas) .
